Welcome
To one and all

New Age Kurling

Following its successful demonstration at this year’s Parallel Youth Games New Age Kurling is to be taken to the masses. The Hampshire and Isle of Wight Sports Partnership are supporting the development of this revolutionary new sport. All those schools attending will take away a New Age Kurling set to continue the work back at their school.

SportsAbility Equipment Library

Hampshire County Council are currently developing a resource whereby schools will be able to borrow SportsAbility Equipment on a library system. Further details will be available in the new year however, in the meantime, if you require any further information please contact Pauline Hampson (pauline.hampson@hants.gov.uk).

Bursaries

The Junior Sports Bursary Scheme

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
All special schools can now take part and anyone in the New Forest wishing to have information on this very competitive and fun game please call NFDC Leisure Services on 02380 285118.
We have several sets of equipment that we would be happy to loan to any group wishing to join our beginners league. Tel above to arrange a loan of the ball bearing Kurling stones.
This scheme offers financial assistance to residents in the administrative county of Hampshire (excluding the cities of Portsmouth and Southampton) aged between 11 and 19, who are still in full-time education and ranked in the national top 20 for their age.
Schools and colleges nominate bursary candidates in March each year and applications are considered by a panel in June.
Financial Assistance for Talented Young People in Sport
Funds are available to ensure that young people are not denied the opportunity to participate at a representative level in sport because of financial hardship. Successful applicants will be of school age, resident in Hampshire, involved in competitive sport above a district level and have the attitude and ability to progress. The application should be accompanied by documentary evidence of receipt of benefit or other evidence of hardship.
