Action on Pain

WHO ARE WE:
Action on Pain is a national charity established in 1998 which is dedicated to providing support and advice for people who are affected by chronic pain.

Run mostly by volunteers many of whom have chronic pain.

We operate a dedicated telephone helpline - PainLine

We have a growing branch network providing "front-line" support

We produce a range of informative information booklets

We promote the positive side of living with chronic pain

We liaise closely with healthcare professionals working in pain services helping to ensure the views of patients are known and acted upon

We are a strong lobbying organisation working hard to increase the provision of effective and timely pain management services within the NHS

We are an independent, non-political organisation with a clear focus on the key issues that impact on people affected by pain.

There are 10 branches Nationwide, the nearest one being in Southampton. There was a meeting held at the Leonard Cheshire Centre in New Milton on Wednesday 16th November where it was agreed to open a branch in New Milton covering the New Forest area.
